The Use of iPODS in the Classrooms

Portable media players or iPods can be used to transfer photos, and download videos or games. However, during research I found a university that actually uses the ipod in the classroom. Moreover, Duke University issued ipods to their students to encourage them to use this technology to enhance their education. For example, one class at Duke University used the ipod to assist with a Spanish class. In addition, one student recorded his Spanish conversation with another student and became more affluent in speaking Spanish.
Furthermore, students at Duke University also, used the ipod in their Economics class. The teacher recorded her own lectures on an ipod; which, the students could assess by the computer or their own, personal ipods. Some students listened to the recorded lectures before they took their exams. Consequently, this method helped students alot with studying. I think that the use of ipods in classrooms is a very good idea. I really think that all colleges should issue out ipods. It could be a very useful tool in enhancing education.
